Our aim is to ensure that no employee, job applicant or candidate receives less favourable facilities or treatment in recruitment or employment on the grounds of age, disability, gender, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity, race, religion or philosophical belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
This policy is intended to operate in accordance with statutory requirements including the Equality Act 2010 and the Codes of Practice issued by the Equality and Human Rights Commission and other statutory bodies.
We shall create and inclusive culture where everyone can be valued for who they are.
Our recruitment and assessment process will be based on skills and competencies of the specific roles and appointments.
We shall not discriminate candidates or clients because of age, disability, gender, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation in the provision of goods and services.
Our selection criteria will be based on merit and the ability to do the job.

We shall endeavour to find ways of avoiding Unconscious Bias at work and engage in both self and group reflection to uncover personal biases.
All staff responsible for drafting job specifications, job advertisements, application sifting, selection interviewing, confirmation of appointments, completion of the performance management framework will be made aware of and act in accordance with this policy.
Training will be provided to ensure that the policy is understood.
